Actor Sergej Trifunović appeared on the “Bez Cenzure” programme on KTV television, where he commented on his colleague Nikola Pejaković’s support for the outgoing SNS regime.

“I can tell you about people who have gone over to the dark side. For example, Nikola Pejaković. The moment he signed for the first time, with that first hand, I called him. ‘Are you calling me to tell me to f*** off?’ he said. I said, ‘Yes,’ and asked him, ‘What is wrong with you, man?’ He replied: ‘What do you mean, what’s wrong with me? I have Bosonoga.’”

Sergej then explained that he was referring to the production company where Nikola Pejaković is the chief screenwriter.

“He is an exclusive writer and director for them, for their production company. A lot of people make a living from it. He told me: ‘We have 50 employees.’”

“And then, three or four years later, I hear him saying, ‘This time I’m going to sign with both hands,’ and I realize that what I also saw with Ivan Tasovac and various other people is that once you get involved in it—and they all got involved because of money—you have to find a way to explain it to yourself. The only way is to grow fond of it and believe in it, so that you don’t end up despising yourself. You have to find a way to explain it to yourself so that you don’t despise yourself,” Trifunović said.

As a reminder, Nikola Pejaković first officially supported the SNS in late 2023, when he signed the “Aleksandar Vučić – Serbia Must Not Stop” electoral list ahead of that year’s snap parliamentary elections.

In January 2024, Pejaković was appointed director of the Drama Department at the Serbian National Theatre (SNP) in Novi Sad, a move that some members of the public linked to his political support for the ruling party. In July this year, he decided not to remain in the position for the 2026/2027 season due to personal and professional commitments.

Ahead of this year’s parliamentary elections, he once again voiced his support for the SNS.

“Last time I signed for Aleksandar Vučić with one hand; this time I’ll sign with both,” Pejaković said in October this year.
