The Archive of Public Gatherings announced that there were between 180,000 and 190,000 people at yesterday’s protest at Slavija.
“Between 180,000 and 190,000 people gathered at the ‘You and I, Slavija’ protest. The estimate of the Archive of Public Gatherings is based on the measured area of the gathering of 107,000 m² and an average density coefficient of ≈1.7 people per m². That was the second largest protest in Serbia since the fall of Milošević,” the Archive of Public Gatherings writes.
The only larger gathering was the one in front of the National Assembly on March 15, 2025, which makes yesterday’s gathering the largest one at Slavija, thereby breaking the record.
As a reminder, during yesterday’s protest at Slavija, the director of the Serbian police, Dragan Vasiljević, said that around 34,300 citizens had gathered.
“At this public gathering, we gave an estimate that around 34,300 citizens are present. We must say that we have been tracking the arrival to the public gathering since this morning, since the morning hours, bearing in mind that a certain number of citizens started from a large number of places in the Republic of Serbia, and that the estimates we give are very precise and objective,” he said.
