The European Powerlifting Cup was held in Leskovac, organized by the powerlifting federation WRPF Serbia. At this prestigious international competition, Miloš Vukićević achieved a historic result and set a new regional record.

With a body weight of 129.3 kilograms, Vukićević managed to lift an unreal 280 kilograms on the bench press. This result was officially declared the strongest raw bench press in the entire Balkans when points are calculated.

At the European Cup in Leskovac, the best competitors from as many as 11 countries measured their strength: Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Albania, Russia, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Sweden, Hungary, and the Czech Republic.
