At the Gradiška border crossing between BiH and Croatia, a part of the bridge fence collapsed, due to which the movement of vehicles and pedestrians has been completely disabled, local media report. The fence structure gave way under undetermined circumstances, and according to initial information, there are no injured persons, Klix.ba reports.
“Due to the collapse of a part of the bridge, traffic has been suspended at the Gradiška border crossing since last night. At other border crossings, delays for passenger vehicles currently range from 10 to 30 minutes,” the Bosnia and Herzegovina Automobile and Motorcycle Club (BIHAMK) stated in a press release this morning.
RTRS reports that the collapse occurred this morning around 1 a.m. after midnight, and that traffic under the bridge as well as on surrounding streets has been closed, Tanjug reports.
Drivers are advised to immediately redirect their travel to the nearest alternative border crossings.
