ANOTHER PENALTY FOR THE BUS TRANSPORTER WHO DROVE STUDENTS: Jaćimović had his driver’s license taken without a trial!

Bus transporter Milomir Jaćimović, who transported students and citizens to protests, had his driver’s license taken today by the police, based on a ruling of the Misdemeanor Court in Belgrade.

After the seizure of his vehicle, puncturing of tires and breaking of windows, his arrest, but also the arrest of his minor son, bus transporter Milomir Jaćimović today also had his driver’s license for category D taken away, the portal Nova.rs reported.

He was given a driving ban for a period of three months, and Jaćimović himself never went to the Misdemeanor Court in Belgrade, at least not in that procedure.

“That must be because of that drive in Belgrade, when they stopped me near the Faculty of Law, escorted me to the Fifth Belgrade Gymnasium, and then took my bus. The traffic police wrote all sorts of things to me then, but I did not expect that they would take my driver’s license for category D, which means that I cannot drive buses,” said Jaćimović.

He states that it is not clear to him why that ban was imposed.

“I may have committed some violation, I was afraid that the ‘ćaci’ would smash the windows on the bus, but none of those violations are for taking away a driver’s license. I was not drunk, I did not exceed the speed limit, nor did I run red lights. A driver’s license is taken for reckless driving, not for illegal parking. With all that, the police surprised me today because I did not even know that such a procedure was being conducted against me. I was not at a single hearing in the Misdemeanor Court, I did not have the opportunity to defend myself, to explain what was actually happening,” Milomir Jaćimović told the portal Nova.rs.

Nevertheless, as he says, he is not giving up on further struggle and support for the students.

“I will not be behind the wheel for three months, but I have drivers in the company and they will drive. I also have plenty of work in the workshop anyway. They can punish and do whatever they want. This is lawlessness and that is exactly what we are fighting against. There is one thing they cannot take from me, and that is the respect and love of the people. Recently I was in Montenegro, I drove believers to the Ostrog Monastery. Wherever we passed through Montenegro, people honked at us, waved to us, greeted us. My yellow bus is recognized even in the neighborhood, and that is the case throughout Serbia. Well, that is why I will not give up,” Jaćimović said.
