A Flydubai carrier aircraft with 166 passengers, mostly Serbian citizens, landed this morning at 7:36 a.m. at Belgrade airport. The flight was supposed to be carried out yesterday.
An N1 crew spoke with one of the passengers, who said they spent 12 hours at the airport and received various pieces of misinformation.
As he adds, they were supposed to land in Belgrade last night around 9:30 p.m.
“At one moment they were saying the plane would go, then that it wouldn’t,” he stated.
He also said that no representatives of Serbia in Dubai addressed them. He noted that he had been in Dubai as a tourist for seven days, but they stayed several days longer due to the inability to return.
The conflict in the Middle East has been ongoing since Saturday, when the United States and Israel attacked Iran and killed Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, members of his family, and the highest officials of the Iranian regime.
An Air Serbia evacuation flight with 67 passengers landed around 1:30 a.m. last night, evacuating citizens from Israel via Sharm El Sheikh. In addition to Serbian citizens, there were also nationals of Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia, Croatia, and Montenegro on board.
The first plane from Dubai carrying Serbian citizens landed in Belgrade yesterday morning. The Flydubai plane from the United Arab Emirates carrying Serbian nationals landed at Belgrade airport. That aircraft was followed live by 40,000 people via a website that shows aircraft movements around the world in real time.
