A sixty-year-old patient, who sustained injuries in an incident in the village of Bresnica near Čačak, has been hospitalized at the University Clinical Center Kragujevac, Vanja Đorđević, spokesperson for that medical institution, told FoNet.
She stated that the patient was admitted to the Emergency Center of UKC, where after diagnostics were performed, doctors established injuries to the facial bones.
The patient is in stable general condition and is undergoing treatment at the Center for Maxillofacial Surgery of UKC Kragujevac, Đorđević said.
The sixty-year-old farmer sustained serious bodily injuries in an incident that occurred during the blockade of the Kragujevac–Čačak main road, in the village of Bresnica.
According to unofficial information, he was injured when the driver of a van, attempting to “slip through” behind a bus carrying small children, struck the farmer at high speed while he was on the roadway.
The injured man was urgently transported to the General Hospital in Čačak, from where, due to the severity of his injuries, he was immediately transferred to UKC Kragujevac.
