DRAMA IN MONTENEGRO: A car full of people plunged into the icy Morača, divers and drones are searching for survivors! (VIDEO)

The search for one or more persons who plunged into the Morača River in a car is still ongoing.

According to initial information, a young woman was behind the wheel, and it is assumed that more people were inside.

Teams from the Protection and Rescue Service are on the ground.

-The terrain is being inspected with boats and drones, the search is still ongoing – it was confirmed for RINA by the Podgorica Protection and Rescue Service.

Divers from the Regional Diving Center Bijela are also on the ground.

-Teams were on the ground yesterday, and the search continued today. The search is made difficult by poor conditions, said Danilo Mijajlović from RRCB.

The accident occurred on the night between Saturday and Sunday, and surveillance cameras recorded a vehicle moving through the streets and before the bridge, it is assumed, the girl lost control – the vehicle crossed from the right to the left lane over the island and then plunged into the Morača.

Tracks were noticed on the macadam, as well as parts of the vehicle.
