“THE CRY OF A BABY WAS HEARD NEAR THE RAVANICA MONASTERY”: Danica and Predrag Welcomed Their Daughter Una on the Third Day of Christmas, Born on the Way to the Maternity Hospital! (VIDEO)

Life often writes novels and knows how to create unexpected situations. Danica and Predrag were expecting the birth of their baby, but labor began suddenly, and the baby who was supposed to come into the world was not concerned with the snow and icy roads.

On the third day of Christmas, Danica and Predrag Stojanović from Resavica became parents for the third time, but in a way that is rarely seen and long remembered. Their daughter Una was born in a car, on the way to the Ćuprija maternity hospital, in circumstances that made this event unusual and almost cinematic, writes Ćuprija net.

As Danica states, contractions began unexpectedly, so together with her husband and a friend they immediately headed toward the hospital. Due to extremely low temperatures and icy roads in those days, driving was slowed, and this was precisely what led to the delivery being completed before arriving at the maternity ward.

“The baby’s cry was heard at the moment we saw the Ravanica Monastery. We will never forget that sight and that sound,” says Danica, adding that she experienced the entire event very personally, since at that moment her father’s favorite song was playing on the radio.

From the car, they immediately informed the on-duty staff at the maternity hospital that the delivery had been completed and that both mother and baby were well. After arriving in Ćuprija, medical staff took over further care of Danica and little Una. Danica especially emphasizes the calmness and responsibility of her husband Predrag, who was her support throughout the entire delivery, even though he had not previously been present at a childbirth.

News of the car delivery spread quickly, and friends of the Stojanović family received the story with disbelief, along with numerous congratulations on the birth of Una, who became a sister to Uroš and Uglješa.

The unusual event was the occasion for Danica Stojanović and her baby to be visited by Jelena Đulinac, who extended her heartfelt congratulations.

“This is a story of courage, strength, and trust in life. On behalf of the local government, I wish the Stojanović family much health, joy, and many beautiful moments with their third child,” said the president of the municipality. On that occasion, on behalf of the local government, mother Danica was presented with an appropriate and symbolic gift as a sign of attention and support.

A day earlier, another baby girl was born at the Ćuprija maternity hospital – little Selena Tusulović. Her mother Vesna says this is her second delivery, following one in 2023, and that this time as well she found herself in the same room and on the same bed as then, which made the entire event additionally unusual.
