Due to heavy snowfall that hit the area of Lučani and caused disruptions in the power grid, a state of emergency has been declared in part of the territory of that municipality, Zoran Vučićević, head of the Lučani Municipal Emergency штаб, told Tanjug today.
“A state of emergency has been declared in part of the territory of the municipality of Lučani, namely in the settlements of Kaona, Vučkovica, Glog, Gornja and Donja Kravarica, and Rti. Today the situation on the ground is worse than yesterday. Many substations have dropped out of the system, so 4,000 households are without electricity. Kotraža, as a large settlement, has no power, there is no electricity in Vučkovica, Gornji and Donji Dubac, Glog, the line toward Arilje up to Virovi and up to Prilipac,” Vučićević said.
As he said, the transmission line in Turica has also gone out, so part of Turica, part of Puhovo—namely Jaćimovići, Taisići, and Nešovanovići—are without power, and there is also no electricity in the village of Lučani.
He added that roads in Lučani have been cleared and are passable, but work is currently underway to remove trees from the road from Guča toward Kravarica, where many trees have been uprooted under the weight of snow and fallen onto the road, cutting off traffic.
