Hamas has published a new video of the Serbian-Israeli citizen Alon Ohel, who was captured on October 7, 2023, in an action of that group in Israel, The Times of Israel reports today.
The families of other hostages asked the media not to publish the video until the Ohel family allows it.

Hamas published a video of Ohel at the beginning of September, and his family gave permission to the media to broadcast a frozen frame of that video.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs Marko Đurić appealed once again for the urgent release of the Serbian citizen Alon Ohel from Hamas captivity.
As #RoshHashanah begins, #Serbia stands in sorrow for Alon Ohel, our fellow citizen, held hostage by Hamas for over 700 days.

The video released today is a cruel blow to his parents, Idit and Kobi, and to all who long for his return.
We call for the immediate release of Alon…
“At the beginning of Rosh Hashanah (Jewish New Year), Serbia mourns for Alon Ohel, our citizen, whom Hamas has been holding hostage for more than 700 days. The video published today is a cruel blow to his parents, Idit and Kobi, and to everyone who wants his return. We call for the urgent release of Alon and all hostages. May this new year bring peace and freedom,” Đurić wrote on the X network.
From today until September 26, Đurić is participating in the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly, which is being held in New York.
