The conflict between Elon Musk and Donald Trump has escalated into an all-out war. The billionaire is unleashing a barrage of tweets on his X network, criticizing the U.S. President like never before. Trump’s reactions have been unusually calm, but from his orbit comes a call for retaliation that would hurt Elon Musk the most.

As reported by nova.rs, Steve Bannon, a long-time shadow advisor to Donald Trump and often described as his “most dangerous advisor,” said that the U.S. President should “take over SpaceX tonight, before midnight.”

Elon Musk’s SpaceX company receives billions of dollars in contracts from the U.S. government, including those funding joint projects with NASA.

“He’s a know-it-all. He knows something about engineering, don’t get me wrong,” Bannon said on his “War Room” podcast, referring to Musk. “But he knows nothing about the real world,” Jutarnji.hr reports.

Bannon reiterated the comments as Trump and Musk exchanged threats about curtailing government contracts for Musk’s companies.

White House: “Musk’s Claims About Epstein Are Untrue”

The White House responded to Musk’s claim that Trump appears in unreleased documents possessed by the U.S. government, allegedly related to the late billionaire and sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Musk provided no evidence for this claim.

“This is an unfortunate episode where Elon Musk was dissatisfied with a new legal framework because it didn’t include the policies he wanted,” said White House spokeswoman Caroline Levitt.

NASA Responds to Musk’s Threat

One of the points of contention in the rift between Donald Trump and Elon Musk concerns the future director of the U.S. space agency, NASA.

Musk proposed his long-time friend Jared Isaacman for the position, whom Trump formally nominated before resuming office. Musk has dreamed of traveling to Mars for years, an ambition he pursues through his company SpaceX, which has a series of contracts with NASA.

In the last few hours, we heard Musk’s threat to decommission SpaceX’s Dragon spacecraft.

Dragon 1 and Dragon 2 versions are used to transport astronauts and supplies to the International Space Station and are crucial for NASA’s operations.

“NASA will continue to implement the President’s vision for the future of space,” a spokesperson told the BBC. “We will continue to work with our industry partners to ensure the President’s goals in space are met.”

Musk Claims Trump’s Tariffs Will Cause a Recession

In the latest series of tweets, Elon Musk shared a post saying that President Trump should be removed and replaced by Vice President J.D. Vance.

Musk further stated that Trump’s global tariffs “will cause a recession in the second half of this year.”

Musk? Oh, Everything’s Fine

U.S. President Donald Trump and his aides have hinted at a possible de-escalation of tensions with billionaire Elon Musk, Politico reported.

In an interview with Politico, Trump said he was not concerned about his disagreements with Musk, emphasizing that “everything is fine.”

“The numbers are fantastic, never better,” Trump said, adding that he enjoys high poll ratings.

These statements come despite tensions that developed during days of debate, when Musk publicly criticized Trump’s tax cut and immigration bill, currently in the Senate.

According to information from the White House, aides advised Trump to temper public criticism of Musk to avoid further escalation.

On their advice, Trump decided to focus on the bill and its support in Congress, rather than the conflict with Musk, Politico stated.

In that context, Trump softened his tone on his Truth Social platform, stating that he “doesn’t mind that Elon turned against him,” but that it should have happened earlier.

White House aide Bill Ackman stated on X that he supports both Trump and Musk and believes both should reconcile for the good of the country.

Musk, responding to Ackman’s post, wrote: “You’re not wrong.”

A call between the White House and Musk is expected on Friday to establish dialogue and ease tensions.

“He Should Be Deported”

Former advisor to U.S. President Donald Trump, Steve Bannon, stated that Trump should issue an executive order to take control of Elon Musk’s SpaceX company, using the Korean War-era national security mobilization law — known as the Defense Production Act, and that Musk should be deported to South Africa.

Bannon, also known as a critic of Musk, said this on his show “War Room Live” and added that the U.S. government should seize SpaceX, and Musk’s security clearance should be revoked and all federal contracts with his companies suspended pending investigation, The New York Times reports.

He said that deportation proceedings against Musk should also be initiated.

“Elon Musk is an illegal alien. And he has to go. An official investigation into his immigration status should be launched because I firmly believe he is an illegal immigrant and should be immediately deported from the country,” Bannon said, as reported by The Hill.

He also added that authorities should launch an investigation into Musk for drug use.

Musk was born in Pretoria, South Africa, gained Canadian citizenship in 1988 through his Canadian model mother, and studied at the University of Pennsylvania.
