The holiday of Christ’s resurrection is celebrated for three days, and it is customary for families, even from the most distant regions, to gather and rejoice.
The second day after Easter is called Bright or Easter Tuesday, and the celebration of the greatest Christian holiday continues, both in Church services and in homes. The services are the same as on the previous two days.
As Easter holidays last three days in most of our regions, Easter Tuesday continues with feasts and celebrations where relatives, godparents, neighbors, and friends are hosted, making it a time when family gathers even from afar. Among the people, this Tuesday is considered the best Tuesday in the entire calendar year. In some villages, although not widespread, weddings are held on this day, as the time of celebrating the Christian Pascha is seen as a special blessing, and this blessing is wished upon newlyweds and their newly formed family.

According to tradition, early on Sunday before dawn, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, Salome, and some other women went to Christ’s tomb with prepared myrrh.
The large stone that sealed Christ’s tomb was rolled away, and the tomb was empty. On the stone sat the Angel of the Lord, with a face like lightning and clothes white as snow.
The guard soldiers were paralyzed with fear, and then the angel spoke to them: “Do not be afraid, for I know you are looking for Jesus who was crucified. He is not here, for He is risen, just as He said… Go quickly and tell His disciples that He has risen.”
The women and the bewildered guard soldiers immediately ran into the city to inform the Jewish leaders of what they had seen, and the people rejoiced greatly. For this reason, the only thing believers must observe during these three days is to share their joy with others.
Folk belief says that those who disregard this simple “rule” defy God and Christ, and things in their lives “will not go as they should.”
