Banja Luka is celebrating City Day today in remembrance of April 22, 1945, when the city was liberated from the occupiers during World War II.

A fitting cultural and artistic program is planned, along with wreath-laying ceremonies, the traditional formal reception, and an official academy.

Wreaths will be laid at the Sveti Pantelija cemetery, where tribute will be paid to the victims of the High Treason Process, as well as at the Monument to the Fallen Soldiers of the Army of the Republic of Srpska, according to an announcement from the City Administration.

The formal academy will be held at 6:00 PM at the “Bosna” hotel.
