The time has come! America stands at a crossroads! Many believe that today marks the beginning of a new era in U.S. history and that Trump’s inauguration will be a turning point in domestic policies as well as in America’s relations with the rest of the world.

What can Serbs and Serbia expect in this new strategic reshuffling of cards?

We sought answers from members of the recently established Serbian-American Political Action Committee.

The committee comprises five American businessmen of Serbian origin (Ranko Ristić, Filip Milivojević, Zoran Berić, Dan Micić, and Goran Petković) who provided substantial financial support to Donald Trump’s election campaign, contributing six-figure dollar amounts. Their support earned them special invitations to the inauguration.

Their primary goals are to increase the influence of the Serbian-American community in U.S. political life and to foster closer ties between the Serbian and American peoples. But how do they plan to achieve this?

To secure invitations to Trump’s private dinner at his Florida residence, special inauguration invitations, and access to exclusive receptions, they had to contribute significant sums of money. We asked them whether money is the decisive factor in American politics, what they expect in return from Trump, and what they have already received.
