SERBIAN PRESIDENT ALEKSANDAR VUČIĆ has just been ADMITTED TO THE MILITARY MEDICAL ACADEMY (VMA) in Belgrade following a sudden health issue that forced him to cut short his official visit to the UNITED STATES.
According to reports from Blic, there was SIGNIFICANT SECURITY AND MEDIA PRESENCE at the hospital as Vučić arrived. He was welcomed at VMA by HEALTH MINISTER ZLATIBOR LONČAR and Dr. Dragan Dinčić, who previously served as the personal physician to former President Boris Tadić.
As previously reported, Vučić FELL ILL SUDDENLY while preparing for a series of meetings in the U.S., including planned appearances with American officials and Serbian business leaders. The episode occurred yesterday in the EARLY AFTERNOON HOURS, after which the president received IMMEDIATE MEDICAL ATTENTION and made the decision to RETURN TO SERBIA FOR FURTHER TREATMENT.
As a result, Vučić did not attend key events of his U.S. visit. His team has cited HEALTH CONCERNS as the reason for the abrupt end to the trip. The PRESIDENT’S OFFICE IS EXPECTED TO ISSUE A FULL STATEMENT on his condition in the coming days.
