At a cafe on Slanački put in Višnjička Banja, Nemanja N. (33) and Darko L. (29) were sitting with two other friends yesterday around 2 p.m. when three more unidentified men entered the establishment and sat down at their table, “Telegraf.rs” reports.
Unofficially, the footage shows an argument starting, and then the participants pull out weapons and a shooting begins. In the general melee, the participants themselves were wounded – Nemanja and Darko – but also Danica V. (51), Oniks A. (59), and Ljiljana M. (42), who were casual victims and guests in the cafe. The police launched the “Vihor” operation, but the attackers have not yet been arrested. The motive for the shooting is suspected to be a fan confrontation, our source says.
Two of the men were immediately driven away from the scene in a private car, and the police, as well as the emergency services, found them near a shopping center in Karaburma in the car, wounded and bloody, so they were transferred to an ambulance.
Residents of Višnjička Banja had previously seen a man who was wounded running from the direction of the cafe, about 100 meters away from the scene of the shooting.
The police will try to identify the shooters based on the footage.
Danica V. from Belgrade, who was seriously wounded in the shooting in Višnjička Banja and was admitted to the Emergency Center in Belgrade without a pulse, is still in critical condition.
As we learn, the shot Darko L. has three wounds to the gluteus and his life is not in danger.
Nemanja N. (33) was shot in the right thigh. Onikis A. (59) was shot in the left thigh and is in the orthopedic department, as is Ljiljana M. (42) who was wounded in the lower leg. Danica V. suffered damage to her liver, kidney, and pancreas in the shooting, and doctors are monitoring her condition minute by minute, our source says.
-We were working and suddenly there was shooting. It was not a burst of fire, but several shots were heard on several occasions. Some windows were broken, probably from the cafe and cars – a worker from a nearby car repair shop told Kurir and added that two men and three women were wounded. Before the shooting, the screech of tires was heard. That white van allegedly stopped in front, and allegedly one man rushed in and shouted: “Who did they argue with?” He was furious, and then the shooting followed. He got into the van and ran away. Allegedly, a pistol was found on one of the cafe guests. Terrible – said one of the eyewitnesses to the shooting.
In the shooting that took place inside and in front of the cafe, some of the bullets also ended up in a vehicle parked in front of the establishment.
The scene at the cafe in Višnjička Banja the morning after the chaos shows the haste and panic of people who started running when the shots rang out.
In addition to the shards of shattered windows of the cafe, as well as the car that was standing in the parking lot, and damaged furniture inside the cafe, traces of panic and rush to get people to safety as quickly as possible are visible in the garden as well.
Children’s toys were left on the playground belonging to the cafe and around the tables in the cafe’s garden, someone’s coffee was spilled in the rush and panic on a table, and there was blood around the tables of those who fled the establishment where the confrontation occurred.
-There were people at the bus stop, in the cafe, and all over the street; no one noticed how the shooting started, but it was extremely loud! There was shooting down the road, and I noticed a few of them and heard seven to eight shots. I ran away when they started shooting, but I also thought about throwing myself under a car to save myself. Everyone started running when they heard the shots; it all happened around 2:30 p.m.; people were flying everywhere – said one of the eyewitnesses to the shooting.
It is not possible to enter the cafe today. A vital notice is on the door – it will not be working for the next three days, and they wish the wounded a speedy recovery!
