The suspect in the murder of Charlie Kirk has been identified as Tyler Robinson (22), the FBI and the governor of Utah confirmed at a press conference.

“Good morning ladies and gentlemen, we have arrested him,” said Utah Governor Spencer Cox at the beginning of his address.

He then confirmed that the family of Tyler Robinson played a key role in his arrest.

“A member of Tyler Robinson’s family contacted a family friend who then contacted the Washington County Sheriff’s office with the information that Robinson had confessed to or implied to them that he had committed the crime,” says Cox.

He added that members of the Robinson family said he had become more politically engaged in recent years.

“A family member recounted that one evening Tyler mentioned to another relative that Charlie Kirk was coming to the University of Utah. They then talked about his views and why they don’t like him. He then mentioned that Kirk is full of hatred and continues to spread hatred,” he added.

Utah Governor Spencer Cox further claims that messages between Tyler Robinson and his roommate reveal details of the alleged conspiracy.

“Investigators interviewed that roommate who stated that his roommate, referring to Robinson, joked in messages. The content of these messages included messages stating the need to pick up a rifle from a drop-off point, leaving the rifle in the bushes, as well as messages related to visually observing the area where the rifle was left and a message referring to leaving the rifle wrapped in a towel,” Cox added.

Cox said that the messages also mentioned engraved bullets, and Tyler allegedly mentioned that he needed to change his clothes.

What Is Written on the Casings Found Next to the Weapon Is Known

Cox confirmed that messages were written on the bullets found next to the weapon.

“He, fašisto hvataj. O Bella ciao, bella ciao and Ako ovo čitaš gej si LMAO,” was written on the bullets found next to the weapon.

Spencer Cox concluded his presentation by thanking law enforcement officers and everyone who, as he says, worked together to find Tyler Robinson.

He thanked the public for sending tips and thanked Robinson’s family, who, as he says, “acted correctly in this case.”

FBI Director Visited the Crime Scene

FBI Director Kash Patel says he was able to visit the crime scene and follow the steps taken by the suspect Tyler Robinson.

“We will continue to process the evidence as we see it and as we collect it. Finally, to my friend Charlie Kirk. Rest now, brother. We hold the watch and we will see you in Valhalla,” he said.

Let’s remember, Trump’s statement comes after a two-day search for the suspect, in which authorities on Wednesday, September 10, questioned and released two people in connection with the murder of Charlie Kirk.

The search then continued, and the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) published images of a person believed to be connected to Kirk’s murder.

It is believed that the shooter fired a single shot from a nearby rooftop in a “targeted attack” on Kirk, according to data from the Utah Department of Public Safety, which is leading the investigation along with the FBI.

Charlie Kirk was killed on September 10 during a public debate called “Prove Me Wrong” at Utah Valley University.

US President Donald Trump ordered flags across the country to be lowered to half-staff in Kirk’s honor.
