In the accident that occurred in Montenegro on Sunday, a ten-year-old boy was the most severely injured, and he is undergoing treatment at the Clinical Center of Montenegro. His condition is still critical, while doctors are trying to stabilize him.
Journalist Perica Đaković from Herceg Novi said that there are no significant changes in the health condition of those injured in the traffic accident near the town of Lipci in Boka Kotorska.
The accident claimed the life of twenty-one-year-old Jovana Stanković from Vrtište near Niš, who was on a pilgrimage trip to the Ostrog Monastery with a group of tourists.
“She is, practically, the only victim of that tragic accident near the town of Lipci, at the very descent into Boka Kotorska,” says Đaković.
The most severely injured is a ten-year-old boy, who is undergoing treatment at the Clinical Center of Montenegro. Đaković claims that his condition is still critical, while doctors are trying to stabilize him.
“Another patient, who was transferred from the hospital in Risan to Kotor, is recovering successfully and is out of life-threatening danger,” Đaković points out.
Of the 14 patients placed in the “Vaso Ćuković” Special Hospital in Risan, three have been discharged for home treatment, while five people are still in intensive care.
“Today, the release of some more patients for home treatment is expected,” Đaković points out.
For the injured who cannot travel by regular transport, it is necessary to organize transport by medical vehicles. Đaković emphasizes that the return to Serbia should be organized only when doctors assess that the patients are ready for the trip.
During the day, the patients in Risan and Kotor will be visited by representatives of the Consulate of Serbia in Herceg Novi, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Embassy of Serbia in Podgorica.
“We can say that all persons are out of life-threatening danger and are recovering successfully. Only the condition of the ten-year-old boy is still critical,” concludes Đaković.
