The leading Chinese tourism magazine “WiTrip” in China has awarded Serbia the “Safe and Friendly Destinations 2024” award, and “China Travel Trade Media” has awarded Serbia the “Best European Niche Tourist Destination 2024” award, the Serbian Tourist Organization announced today.
The first award was presented at a ceremony in December, and the second on January 13th. According to WiTrip’s assessment, Serbia has been recognized as a safe and friendly destination.
“China Travel Trade Media” rated Serbia as the best European tourist destination for specific interests in 2024 due to its significant impact on the tourism industry, as well as its good relations with China.
In addition to Serbia, awards were also given to other significant tourist destinations including Switzerland, Australia, Thailand, South Korea, Tahiti, and San Francisco.
The director of the Serbian Tourist Organization, Marija Labović, emphasized that these two prestigious awards are very significant as they are the result of great effort and work in promoting the country as an attractive tourist destination.
“We can be very proud, because our work on promoting the country’s tourism has been recognized. Two prestigious awards come from China, with which we have excellent cooperation in all areas and from which we have a record growth in the number of tourists in 2024, by as much as 72% compared to 2023,” said Labović.
