Young Red Star footballer Adem Avdić (18) unexpectedly found himself torn between two national teams, but he very quickly spoke out and said who he wants to play for.
According to media reports from Bosnia and Herzegovina, the talented red and white ace was a great desire of the local association, there was even an idea for a delegation from this country to come to Belgrade to persuade him to change his national team crest, however, nothing will come of it.
Adem Avdić spoke out via Instagram where he wrote that he wants to play for the national team of Serbia.
“Srbija je moja jedina domovina! Ponosan sam što branim grb i boje ove zemlje,” stated the Red Star player.
It’s no wonder that BiH is trying to persuade him to play for them because Avdić is among the most talented players in Serbian football of his generation. He plays in the decades-deficient position of left-back.
In the current season so far, Avdić has already played three matches in the Serbian SuperLiga in the Red Star jersey.
