A Serbian citizen (46) has been accused of raping a prostitute in Switzerland. The case was recorded on Christmas 2024, and according to the indictment, he is charged with multiple counts of rape, causing grievous bodily harm, and unlawful deprivation of liberty.
According to Swiss portals, the drama began after the Serb went to a brothel in Basel, Switzerland, where, as he admitted himself, he “spent two hours with a young Greek prostitute,” which cost him 540 Swiss francs.
However, what followed, according to the indictment, turned into a nightmare. After leaving the brothel, the arrested Serb took her to his apartment, locked her in, and raped and abused her for hours.
The prosecution claims that he forced the victim to consume narcotics, including cocaine and methamphetamine, as well as the preparation Kamagra, after which he sexually abused her.
“According to her testimony, he humiliated and controlled her, leading her around the apartment and forcing her into degrading acts.”
On the other hand, the accused denies guilt and claims that everything was by mutual consent.
“I pray for her and her daughter every night,” he stated before the court.
Expert evaluation established that the accused has an antisocial personality disorder, which further complicates the case.
The prosecution is seeking as many as 12 years in prison for him, as well as a measure of expulsion from Switzerland for a duration of 20 years. The verdict in this shocking case is expected on Monday.
Key evidence
The key evidence in this case is a disturbing video recording made on December 25 at the University Hospital in Basel. It shows the suspect and a terrified woman giving medical staff the internationally recognized sign for help, repeatedly opening and closing her fist.
The recording shows the woman trying to signal that she is a victim of violence, while the suspect calmly speaks with a nurse.
