The Organized Crime Prosecutor’s Office (TOK) has opened cases concerning criminal complaints against Serbia’s ambassador to Slovakia, Aleksandar Nakić, and its ambassador to the United States, Dragan Šutanovac, over suspicions of abuse of office and violation of voting rights.

On October 20, the Prosecutor’s Office requested the necessary information from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Republic Electoral Commission to determine the next steps and conduct a preliminary investigation.

According to the statement, the action was taken in accordance with a binding instruction issued by the Supreme Public Prosecutor’s Office concerning the handling of cases involving possible criminal offenses related to electoral rights.
