The President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, is today celebrating his family’s patron saint’s day – St. George’s Day, in the spirit of Serbian tradition and as dictated by the Christian faith.
“On this great holiday, I welcomed relatives, friends, associates, and all dear guests to celebrate it together and to socialize in good spirits. I wish everyone who is celebrating today and who are guests at the slava, good health and family happiness,” Dodik stated.
The celebration was attended by His Grace Bishop Sava of Marča, vicar bishop of the Metropolitan of Banja Luka.
The Serbian Orthodox Church today celebrates Saint Great Martyr George – St. George’s Day, in memory of the day when this saint suffered in 290 AD.
