Milica S. has been in custody since her arrest on January 24th of this year, when she committed the criminal offense she is charged with.
According to the indictment, Milica S. is charged with having, on January 24, 2024, caused danger to the life and body of people by a generally dangerous act, in a place where a large number of people were gathered, as a result of which severe bodily injury occurred to the injured K.V.
There is a justified suspicion that the defendant, while driving a “Citroen” car along Jurija Gagarina Street in New Belgrade, and upon encountering a large group of students, high school students, and other citizens who were participating in a protest called “School Lesson at the Last Minute” and who had blocked public traffic by standing and moving on the roadway, first stopped the vehicle at the request of student marshals.
Then, at the moment when student marshals, dressed in yellow and orange fluorescent vests, were in front of her vehicle, she suddenly started driving forward uncontrollably and in the direction of the persons standing in front of her vehicle – the injured K.V., who was facing the vehicle with her front body and holding a megaphone in her right hand, and the injured V.M., who had his back to the defendant’s vehicle.
Milica S. hit the injured students with the front of her vehicle, as a result of which K.V. was thrown onto the hood of the vehicle, then onto the front windshield on the left side, after which she was thrown to the ground in front of the vehicle on the left side and hit her head on the curb during the fall, sustaining severe bodily injury.

The defendant then continued driving forward, only to be soon stopped by bystanders, who demolished her vehicle, and she was soon arrested by members of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Serbia.
As a reminder, Belgrade media reported yesterday that she attempted suicide in custody. Blic reported that she was transferred for treatment to the Special Prison Hospital.
