A 9-year-old girl from Crna Trava was beaten on December 20 in this town after her peers, as her father claims, forced her to ring neighbors’ doorbells, which she refused to do. According to her father, Vladan Spasić, her peers beat the girl until her classmate came by and threatened to tell the children’s parents.

After the girl returned home with the help of her friend, her parents took her to the emergency room, and the case was reported to the police as well as the elementary school the children attend.
As the girl’s father explains, around 6 p.m. on December 20, three girls and one boy (aged 14, 10, 8, and 7) with whom the victim attends a folklore club came to pick her up to go outside. However, as the father explains, the club they trained at was closed, so one of the girls suggested they take a walk around the center.
“The girl who initiated it suggested they do something fun and they went to the passageway between buildings in the center of Crna Trava, and then she suggested they knock and ring other people’s doors. She ordered my child to ring and knock because she was the youngest in the group,” the father begins his story.
He says that his daughter refused, but the girl threatened her that “everyone would beat her if she didn’t do it.”
“Then my child started to run towards the church where they caught up with her and, using a brick from the pavement, hit her in the leg and slowed her down. They started kicking her, because they had knocked her down while threatening to kill her,” claims Vladan, the father of the nine-year-old girl.
According to him, the children beat her for about 10 minutes, and then a passerby came by and the children ran away.
“My child started running towards our house at that moment, limping, but she saw them again on the street and hid behind a market stall. However, they found her and started threatening her that she would be taken away from her parents if she didn’t listen to them and then they started beating her again,” the distraught father recounts.
Fortunately, a boy who is in the same class as the victim came by at one point and threatened the children that he would report them to the girl’s parents. He helped her get to the center of town, and then she went home.
“We found her at the door, all beaten up, and she told us what had happened. My wife and I immediately took her to the emergency room, I carried my child to the health center in my arms,” the father recalls.
The doctor who examined the child reported the case to the police in Crna Trava, and then the father also gave a statement in which he described what happened that evening. The child was referred to the General Hospital in Leskovac for further examinations.
According to reports, fortunately, the girl has no fractures. However, scratches and bruises were noticed on her body, and the child could not put weight on her leg due to a finger injury.
As Vladan confirms, the child is feeling better physically now. However, she is traumatized and doesn’t want to leave the house.
