The captain of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Edin Džeko, arrived in Belgrade after achieving great success with the national team.

As a reminder, Bosnia and Herzegovina defeated Italy in Zenica after a penalty shootout, thereby securing a place at the World Cup in the USA, Mexico, and Canada.

Edin Džeko suffered a serious shoulder injury during that match, and the initial information was quite poor. There were mentions of a fractured collarbone, which would likely mean missing the World Cup due to the several-month break required for recovery from such an injury.

The Schalke center-forward underwent new examinations and analyses in the Serbian capital and learned that surgery is not necessary and that the situation is not as bad as it first seemed. The experienced Džeko has started therapies, and during his stay at a Belgrade restaurant, something he did not expect was waiting for him.

The staff decided to surprise “The Diamond” with a message on a plate alongside a piece of cake.

“Wherever you play, we are there, from Zenica to America! Good luck, dragons!!!” was the message Džeko received.

It is not known whether he ate the cake or, as someone who has been at the top level for a long time, had to skip the dessert, but it is clear that the message delighted the footballer.

He took a photo which he posted on his account on the social network Instagram.
