DIRECTOR OF JOVINA GYMNASIUM ARRESTED: Radivoje Stojković detained over four criminal offenses on orders of the prosecutor’s office!

The Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office in Bačka Palanka informed the public that, on the orders of the public prosecutor at that office, R. S., director of the “Jovan Jovanović Zmaj” Gymnasium in Novi Sad, had been arrested.

The Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office announced that R. S. was arrested on suspicion of committing four criminal offenses of Failure to Execute a Court Decision, under Article 340, Paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code.

“During the proceedings conducted so far, the Higher Public Prosecutor’s Office in Novi Sad, through substitution, transferred territorial jurisdiction from the Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office in Novi Sad to the Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office in Bačka Palanka,” the statement said.

The suspect, R. S., is accused of refusing, in his capacity as a responsible person, to comply with final court decisions concerning four teachers at the aforementioned gymnasium, thereby preventing them from performing their duties and holding classes without obstruction.

“After the competent court lifted their suspensions, he was ordered to immediately and without delay allow them to resume the duties associated with their teaching positions, but he refused to do so,” the statement said.

The suspect has been placed in custody for up to 48 hours, during which time he will be brought before and questioned by the Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office in Bačka Palanka, in accordance with the law.
