Telekom Srbija CEO Vladimir Lučić stated for RTS that they know who the hacker is who carried out the theft of data from the user database, and that it is a person located “east of Serbia.”
“It is a hacker located abroad. According to our information, it is a person located east of us. We located him using artificial intelligence, we even have information about the city he lives in, and his mobile phone—we have given all of that to the police and are now waiting for the hacker to be arrested,” Lučić told RTS.
He reiterated that the system was never compromised at any moment and that the functioning of Telekom’s services was never brought into question.
