Passenger train traffic to Novi Sad has been suspended until further notice, N1 has learned.
Passenger trains to Novi Sad will not run this afternoon and on November 1st in the morning.
Also, online ticket purchase is not possible.
On the Srbijavoz website, when you select the option for online ticket purchase for October 31 and November 1 and enter desired destinations, e.g., Beograd Centar-Petrovaradin, a notification appears saying “there are no trains on the requested destination.”
We remind you that a commemorative gathering will be held tomorrow in Novi Sad to mark one year since the collapse of the canopy and the death of 16 people. The train is one of the key means of transport that citizens use to get to Novi Sad from Belgrade, for example.
Before protests, it has happened before that trains did not operate, where the authorities announced that they had “received reports of explosive devices on the train.” Those explosive devices were never found.
