Two traffic police officers from the Vrbas Police Station, Andrijana Dakić and Marko Drobnjak, demonstrated what professionalism, honor, and integrity mean in the police service by returning a lost wallet to a local woman without any hesitation.
The wallet contained personal documents and a credit card linked to a mortgage of 50,000 euros, but this did not deter the dedicated officers. Instead of succumbing to temptation, they acted honorably and did the right thing – they located the owner and returned her lost belongings.
The grateful woman offered them a monetary reward, but Andrijana and Marko firmly refused, showing that honesty and community service are the foundation of their calling.
This gesture was met with public admiration, and a message of support, accompanied by a photo of Andrijana and Marko, was posted on the official Instagram profile of the Serbian Ministry of Internal Affairs.
