SERBIAN LIST SPOKE OUT: Several people detained during the day, they are intimidating Serbs from Ibarski Kolašin!

Serbian List announced that during the day several people were detained in northern Kosovo, that several family houses were searched, that women and children were harassed, and citizens were threatened with new arrests, blaming the Kosovo authorities for this.

The statement says that the arrests, raids on family houses, searches, detentions of Serbs, and holding them without the right to a lawyer represent an unprecedented pressure on the Serbian people, “with the clear goal of intimidating and displacing Serbs, especially from Ibarski Kolašin.”

“Under the guise of investigations into alleged war crimes, the institutions in Pristina do not respect basic legal procedures, nor the elementary rights of citizens, whether they are arrestees, witnesses, or suspects,” the party stated on Facebook.

It pointed out that “the manner in which these procedures are carried out does not befit the judicial systems of Europe in the 21st century,” but, as stated, “resembles more of an inquisition, in which statements are sought to be extracted through pressure and intimidation.”

“It is absolutely unacceptable that under the pretext of an investigation into alleged war crimes, an entire municipality is being terrorized,” the statement reads.

Serbian List, the strongest party of Serbs in Kosovo, added that “not everyone who was of legal age in 1999 can be declared potential war criminals.”

They pointed out that “criminal responsibility, if the existence of any criminal offense is established, is strictly individual, not collective.”

“It is unacceptable that statements are sought to be extracted through random arrests and detentions, without the provided right to a defense attorney,” it added.

Serbian List, which has the support of official Belgrade, stated that it “clearly emphasizes that every victim and family deserves justice, and every perpetrator, regardless of nationality, deserves to be held accountable in accordance with the law.”

“However, the question is rightfully raised as to whether the goal of such actions is establishing truth and justice or creating a political narrative ahead of the sentencing of the accused before the Specialist Chambers in The Hague, in order to create a picture that in the last conflict Serbs were exclusively the perpetrators, and Albanians the only victims,” it stated.

In the village of Mala Kaludra, in the municipality of Zubin Potok, in northern Kosovo, excavations were carried out due to the suspicion that the mortal remains of 23 Albanian intellectuals from Mitrovica, missing during April 1999, are located at that site.
