OSTOJA MIJAILOVIĆ TAKES OVER THE ABA LEAGUE: Partizan President Elected Head of the Regional Competition!

At the ABA League Assembly session, a new leadership team for the competition was elected, with Ostoja Mijailović chosen as the league’s new president.

Alongside the Partizan president, Dragan Bokan of Budućnost and Davor Užbinec of Cedevita Olimpija were elected as members of the league’s Presidency.

Assembly members were also presented with the league’s financial report, which showed that the ABA League recorded revenue growth for the fifth consecutive year. Compared to the previous season, revenues increased by 18 percent, or €980,000, bringing the total to €6,374,000.

Expenses amounted to €3,945,000, while the league posted a profit of €2,428,959, representing a 61 percent increase compared to the previous year. As in the previous season, the profit will be distributed among the league’s shareholders—the 12 club owners.

The ABA League Assembly also decided to launch a public call for applications for the positions of referee appointments commissioner, president of the Referees Commission, and disciplinary judge. The application process will remain open until August 10, while the final appointments will be made no later than August 15 by a two-thirds majority vote of the Assembly members.
