In a “quad bike” traffic accident that occurred last night around 10 p.m. in Batajnica, when the vehicle went into a canal, two young men, Đ. M. (24) and M. M. (25), lost their lives.
According to Telegraf.rs, the accident happened when, for reasons that have not yet been determined, the two men overturned the quad bike while driving and fell into the canal.
Emergency teams quickly arrived at the scene, however, the young men were showing no signs of life.
According to reports, the accident occurred on the Avala side, in the fields within the area of the settlement, at the continuation of Velike Međe and Stevana Simića streets.
A friend of the victims explained that the two friends had been riding during the afternoon, but at one point they stopped responding, which is why the search for them began, and the police were called around 10 p.m.
The search unfortunately ended in tragedy with the discovery of the overturned vehicle, and nearby the bodies of the young men who lost their lives.
