In a fire that broke out in a family house in Bečej, major material damage was caused and almost the entire building burned down. However, among the remains of the home, firefighters found an image depicting Jesus Christ which, according to reports from the scene, remained completely undamaged.
As published on the Instagram page 193ns_rs Instagram page, the fire engulfed a house at 46 Vojvođanskih brigada Street, where the roof structure covering an area of about 50 square meters was completely destroyed.
“In the ruins, members of the Bečej Fire and Rescue Unit found an icon that, despite the fire, remained untouched,” they wrote in the post on Instagram.
