Captain of the Serbian national basketball team, Bogdan Bogdanović, expressed his regret over Ivica Zubac leaving the Los Angeles Clippers.

The Croatian center was traded to the Indiana Pacers, with the news arriving on the same day he became a father.

Bogdanović shared a photo of the two together on social media, accompanied by a heartfelt message to his now-former teammate.

“Turn it down, brother… We’ll miss you a lot, but keep pushing,” Bogdanović wrote.

Zubac replied in the same tone:

“My brother. We’ll get it all back from them. Just keep pushing and don’t let anyone stop you,” Zubac responded.

With this trade, the Clippers made it clear they are continuing the team’s rebuilding and youth-focused process, following the previous trade of James Harden to Cleveland in exchange for Darius Garland.

Zubac had been a member of the Clippers since 2019 and was named to the NBA’s Second Defensive Team last season. He played a total of 513 games for the Los Angeles team, averaging 11.4 points and 9.3 rebounds per game.
