Partizan’s basketball players suffered a heavy defeat against Olympiacos at the “Aleksandar Nikolić” Hall, where the Greek powerhouse triumphed 66:104 in the 22nd round of the EuroLeague.
The atmosphere in “Pionir” from the very start did not bode well for the evening. There were noticeably more empty seats in the stands than usual, but those who did come stayed with the team until the final second, despite the debacle on the court. On the floor, however, Partizan looked powerless, without energy or ideas, while Olympiacos methodically built its lead minute by minute.
The black-and-whites opened the game solidly with points from Bruno Fernando, but the Greek team very quickly took control thanks to exceptional three-point shooting. Olympiacos hit three three-pointers from five attempts in the opening period, while Partizan failed to score from long range. Although the first quarter looked tolerable on the scoreboard (17:20), it was already clear which direction the game was heading.
With Evan Fournier entering at the start of the second quarter, the gap began to grow sharply. The visitors continued to punish Partizan’s poor defense and weak defensive rebounding, while the black-and-whites missed even open shots. The hosts’ energy faded, and Olympiacos went into halftime with a massive 22-point lead – 30:52. Particularly worrying is the fact that Partizan made just one three-pointer from nine attempts in the first half.

The continuation brought no change. The visitors’ lead quickly surpassed 30 points, and the question of the winner was settled by the middle of the third quarter. Sasha Vezenkov delivered a brilliant performance and was completely unstoppable, while Nikola Milutinov also dominated under the basket. Partizan recorded just two assists in the third quarter, which best illustrates the team’s overall helplessness.
In the final period, the difference climbed to over 40 points, but the fans stayed with the team until the end, which was the only bright spot of the evening. Dwayne Washington led Partizan with 28 points, followed by Bruno Fernando with 11, while Vezenkov finished the game with 25 points and seven rebounds, and Dorsey, Hall, Milutinov, Peters, and Walkup each added 12. After this loss, Partizan stands at 6–16, while Olympiacos is 13–8, confirming its status as one of the most stable teams in the EuroLeague.
