The search for missing student Đorđe Janković (19) from Kragujevac, which lasted nearly three weeks, has unfortunately ended in tragedy. His body was found today, about 200 meters from the Palace of Justice, at the very spot where a new search—organized by family, friends, and numerous fellow citizens—had begun this morning.

Đorđe disappeared on October 19 around 3 a.m., and since then, all trace of him was lost. In the past days, his family and friends had repeatedly appealed to the public to join them in the search and help find the young student.

“Dear friends, please help! Our fellow citizen, friend, and student Đorđe Janković went missing on October 19 in Kragujevac, and since then, there has been no trace of him,” read a message posted by his loved ones on social media.

Unfortunately, today’s search, which began at 10 a.m. near the Palace of Justice, ended in a heartbreaking outcome. Police conducted an on-site investigation, and the young man’s body will be sent for autopsy to determine the cause of death.
