An American Airlines “Boeing 737” aircraft with 179 passengers on board caught fire on the runway of Denver International Airport before takeoff, triggering an emergency evacuation.

One person was hospitalized with minor injuries, while five were treated on the spot, airport officials announced. Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire, and the plane was withdrawn from service for inspection. A replacement aircraft was arranged.
