Citizens of Niš who gathered tonight for the blockade near Ured were collecting money to help fellow citizens who received misdemeanor fines from the police.

Citizens and students gathered again tonight on the streets of Niš to express solidarity with the victims and families of those who died in Novi Sad, as well as to protest against institutional silence, impunity, and repression.

The gathering began at two locations—King Aleksandar Square and the roundabout on Nemanjića Boulevard near St. Sava Park—and then citizens proceeded to block traffic in multiple directions.

Traffic was completely stopped in several places.

Near Ured, on Knjeginje Lubice Street, the police identified, then detained, issued fines to, and released three citizens.

Citizens collected money for their fines at the gathering near the Courthouse.
