Novak Đoković continues to fight great battles on the tennis courts, striving to win another major title.

He remains at the very top, although it seems that Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz have now completely taken over the world tennis elite.

Nevertheless, Đoković still stands as a synonym for greatness and longevity, marking a significant era of the sport alongside Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal. Their departure changed everything.

Novak revealed whether a part of him also left after Nadal and Federer retired, or if he sees a part of them in Sinner and Alcaraz.

“No. It’s not the same. Sinner and Alcaraz are truly exceptional, outstanding tennis players, incredible. I am sure we will see them in the years to come as the torchbearers of tennis, but no, no. For me, Federer and Nadal are irreplaceable, and a good part of me left with them…,” he said on the show “Failure of Champions” with Slaven Bilić.

He also spoke about how he sees himself in relation to them.

“When we compare me, Federer, and Nadal, Federer is the most talented, the most beautiful to watch, he expended energy most efficiently, moved so lightly, so elegantly, so efficiently, while Nadal is the opposite, the other extreme. Maximum physicality, and I am somewhere in between, but more towards Nadal. That means more sliding, running, baseline-based, etc. Each of us had our own characteristics, and as time went on, our rivalries complemented and strengthened each other. The three of us always say that through these rivalries, we contributed to each other and to others to develop into the tennis players and individuals and competitors we became. Without a doubt, the rivalries with the two of them most influenced my development, especially in the second part of my career…”
