Nikola Jokic once again worked his magic on the court, but it wasn’t enough for the Nuggets to avoid defeat, as the magical Somborac can’t score as many points as Denver can concede in one game…
Cleveland routinely defeated Denver at home the previous night with a score of 149:135.
Not even another spectacular performance by Nikola Jokic helped the Nuggets avoid defeat against the best team this season. He scored from all possible positions, played his teammates, dominated in the paint, but in vain. The Nuggets were disastrous on defense, and it cost them dearly in this game.
Denver held on until the middle of the second quarter, when the Cavs, led by the brilliant Mitchell, went on a 16-0 run and from -3 reached a double-digit lead. They went into the break with a 15-point advantage.
Nikola tried to lead his team in the third quarter, but the Cavs successfully repelled every attack from the Colorado team, which was 13 points behind with 12 minutes left in the game.
