The victory of Donald Trump in the presidential elections in the USA can be counted on to stabilize the situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik said today.
Dodik believes that the elections in America were clearly held in a democratic atmosphere and says that it was a great victory, reports RTRS.
He reminded that the Republika Srpska was clearly positioned and always had the desire to see Trump return to the White House, and now it has come true. “We never stopped supporting Trump, because the administration led by Biden was very unfair and malicious towards the position of the Serbian people,” said Dodik.
He noted that the Dayton Agreement, which was made in America under the administration of the Democratic Party, was “desecrated”, and those who wanted to finish the unfinished business returned to the political scene and brought BiH into an almost impossible situation.
“That’s why it was important to give support to Trump and expect his victory, because only in that way could we count on the stabilization of our circumstances.” “It is clear that the Trump administration was more moderate and gave a chance to the agreement in Bosnia and Herzegovina,” Dodik said.
He pointed out that during the first Trump administration, the biggest advances were made in the agreement itself in Bosnia and Herzegovina, but all of that was made impossible by the subsequent administration of Joseph Biden and his officials, such as American Ambassador Michael Murphy.
If it is not possible to return to the original Dayton and within the framework of the BiH Constitution, Dodik believes that the only reasonable thing is to preserve peace in BiH and make political arrangements that are possible.
“But if none of that is possible, then it’s best to part ways and try to build a completely new opportunity.” In the next four years, this will be the main process in Bosnia and Herzegovina,” said the president of Republika Srpska and pointed out that even in the pre-election period he supported the election of Trump and his efforts to win, suggesting the Serbian community in the USA to support the republican candidate, reports Tanjug.
