The students blocking the University of Belgrade have issued a statement regarding a leaked recording of a meeting between the organization “Stav” and certain members of the political party “Movement of Free Citizens.” The recording, which was broadcast last night on national television and social media, features discussions about planned actions for the student protest in Belgrade on March 15.
According to the students, the recording clearly captures agreements on strategies for inciting and manipulating the crowd, attempts to take over the stage, and organized chanting of “Transitional Government.”

“We Are Deeply Disappointed and Stunned”
They emphasize that, as students who have been on the streets and at faculties for months, they are deeply disappointed and stunned by the actions of organizations that claimed to represent student interests.
- It is clear that some among them were not acting in the interest of students but were using our fight for their own political goals. That is why we once again clearly distance ourselves from all organizations and parties mentioned in the recording – they noted.
The students further stated that they are not part of any political maneuvering and will not allow their movement to be exploited for others’ interests.
- It was students who set Serbia in motion, and students will decide on their protest—without manipulation, without parties, without hidden agendas! – they concluded.
