The Prime Minister of Republika Srpska, Radovan Višković, stated today that he is not ready to go to the BiH Prosecutor’s Office in Sarajevo to be questioned regarding accusations of the criminal offense of “undermining the constitutional order of BiH”, because, as he said, he does not believe in the fairness of the authorities there.

“Go ahead, realize your threat. You are shooting blanks, but you are creating a situation where someone shoots live rounds,” Višković said at a press conference in Banja Luka.

He added that this is not a threat from RS, but a determination to defend its constitutional powers, assessing that BiH “does not exist”.

Višković blamed the current political and security crisis on the High Representative in BiH, Christian Schmidt, who imposed a decision on amendments to the Criminal Code of BiH, according to which the President of RS was first charged, and then convicted at first instance.

He stated that the BiH Prosecutor’s Office is charging him because he “performed his constitutional and legal duty”, presiding over the session of the RS Government at which proposals for laws were adopted that prohibit the Court and Prosecutor’s Office of BiH and the BiH Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) from operating on the territory of that entity of BIH.

The BiH Prosecutor’s Office today issued an order for the arrest of Milorad Dodik, RS Prime Minister Radovan Višković and RS National Assembly Speaker Nenad Stevandić to be questioned on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of “attack on the constitutional order”.

The order for their arrest was issued after they did not respond to the previous summons from the BiH Prosecutor’s Office to come themselves.

The BiH Judicial Police has issued an order to the RS Ministry of Internal Affairs and the BiH Investigation and Protection Agency to assist in the arrest of Dodik, Višković and Stevandić.

The BiH Prosecutor’s Office opened the case against Dodik, Višković and Stevandić, charging them with violating the “constitutional order”, after the laws adopted in the RS National Assembly on February 27, which prohibit the activities of the Prosecutor’s Office and Court of BiH, the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council (VSTS) and SIPA on the territory of RS, were published in the Official Gazette of RS.

These laws have been suspended by a temporary decision of the BiH Constitutional Court.
