The United States and Serbia will begin a strategic dialogue, which is expected to be officially announced this weekend during the visit of US Deputy Secretary of State Richard Verma to Belgrade.
The strategic dialogue between the US and Serbia will cover several key areas, including economy, trade and investment, energy, environment, technology, media, as well as regional and European political issues. Cooperation in the fields of defense and security, human rights, and the rule of law will also be considered.

Among the countries that have a strategic dialogue with the United States are Poland, Greece, Egypt, India, Cyprus, Uzbekistan, and Oman.
This form of bilateral cooperation shows how much importance the United States attaches to a particular country.
US Deputy Secretary of State Richard R. Verma has already started his visit to the region, and after Albania, he is coming to Pristina and Belgrade. As announced, during the visit, he will particularly emphasize the importance of the growing strategic partnership with Serbia in the field of energy and economic issues.
At the same time, he will offer support for the process of integration into European institutions and the normalization of relations with so-called Kosovo, as well as strengthening the rule of law.
Incidentally, Richard Verma is the highest-ranking US official to visit Serbia in recent years.
