A US court has confirmed a previously made decision by which Croatia is obligated to pay the Hungarian MOL the amount of 286 million dollars.

The verdict was delivered by Judge Amir H. Ali of the District Court for the District of Columbia, following a lawsuit by MOL. The same judge rejected Croatia’s appeal in 2025 against the 2022 decision by which MOL was awarded 183.94 million dollars.

In the meantime, the figure has reached the amount of 286 million dollars, due to arbitration costs and interest.
