The Higher Public Prosecutor’s Office in Belgrade has filed an indictment against two defendants on suspicion of throwing a bomb at the house of the famous singer Zdravko Čolić in Dedinje, while the proceedings against the third suspect, Marko A., who was arrested a few days after the bomb attack in Dedinje, have been suspended. He was released yesterday, and his lawyer immediately spoke out.
-The decision made by the prosecutor’s office regarding my client was completely expected for me. From day one, I have claimed that he is innocent and that his detention was determined without grounds – lawyer Slavka Babić, who was Marko A.’s defense attorney during the investigation, confirmed for Kurir.
Bomb thrown on February 3
The bomb at Zdravko Čolić’s house was thrown on February 3 in the early morning hours. A day after the attack, the attackers were arrested.
After the arrest of the three suspects, the Higher Public Prosecutor’s Office in Belgrade announced that it had launched an investigation against Senad M. and Perica S. on suspicion of throwing a bomb at Čolić’s house, as well as against Marko A., who helped them by making explosive devices available to them.
-By the order to conduct the investigation, Senad M. and Perica S. are charged with two criminal offenses of unauthorized production, possession, carrying and trafficking of weapons and explosive materials in co-perpetration – announced the Higher Public Prosecutor’s Office in Belgrade, which is leading the investigation.
As stated then, it is suspected that they traveled to Dedinje by taxi, and then used a scooter to reach the fence over which suspect Perica S. activated and threw a hand grenade into the yard of the family house at around 04:52, while Senad M. kept watch to see if anyone was coming and recorded everything with a mobile phone. The hand grenade exploded, after which the suspects left the scene on the scooter.

Zdravko Čolić was questioned
In March, Zdravko Čolić was questioned in the Higher Public Prosecutor’s Office in Belgrade as a witness in the proceedings.
-During the questioning, Čolić stated that he is not the type of person who gets into conflicts, especially not conflicts for which someone would attack him in this way. He said that he is not joining the criminal prosecution, because he believes that the arrested are only executors of someone’s order – a Kurir source revealed.
The famous singer also stated that at the time of the bomb attack he was in Zagreb and was not in the house, but that he calmed down when he learned that his daughters and wife were fine and that no one was injured.
