Podgorica police arrested S. L. (36) and N. M. (36) on suspicion that they enabled the escape of Miloš Medenica, the son of the former president of the Supreme Court of Montenegro, Vesna Medenica.
The Police Administration announced that it is suspected that S. L. and N. M. committed the criminal offense by providing Miloš Medenica with assistance and logistics in hiding, so that he would be unavailable to law enforcement authorities after he violated a supervision measure.
“In the police-prosecutorial activities, which were carried out in a synchronized and coordinated manner, based on the facts collected so far, there is evidence indicating grounds for suspicion that the stated two persons committed the criminal offense with which they are charged in the criminal complaint,” the police statement says.
It is emphasized that the suspects, along with the criminal complaint, will be brought before the state prosecutor in the Basic State Prosecutor’s Office in Podgorica.
