The Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina announced today’s action in which, among others, the Minister of Security of BiH, Nenad Nešić, was arrested.
“In an investigation conducted by the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH together with the Organized Crime Department of the Ministry of the Interior of Republika Srpska, on December 26, 2024, in a case of corruption, acting on the order of the prosecutor, Nenad Nešić, Minister of Security in the Council of Ministers of BiH, Milan Dakić, director of JP Putevi RS, Mladen Lučić, and four other persons were deprived of their liberty,” the statement says, as reported by Euronews.ba.

They are suspected of, as managers of JP Putevi RS and persons who did business with the said company, committing criminal offenses – association for committing criminal offenses (Article 249 of the Criminal Code of BiH), money laundering (Article 209 of the Criminal Code of BiH), abuse of official position or authority (Article 315 of the Criminal Code of RS) and bribery (Article 319 of the Criminal Code of RS).
“The Prosecutor’s Office of BiH will inform the public about the further course of the investigation,” the statement adds.
The Minister of Security of BiH, Nenad Nešić, previously held the position of director of Putevi RS.
